During this last week I have been trully lusting over the idea of getting an old Willys Jeep do go beat around with in the woods with. Do any of you know where there might be one in a field somewhere in Alberta? let me make it clear I'm not looking to make a hotrod like the above pics altho it would be freaking awesome. I'd be more looking for something like seen below, mostly stock but complete(the below is not complete).

If I would happen to find the right one for the right price I would keep it mostly stock except maybe upgrade the brakes and tires and possible a roll cage.

My Dad had a '44 with a 302 swapped in with the stock drivetrain. He said it was slow, but would pull just about anything.

I know! These things would run forever and it would be perfect for what I'm looking to do.

I've been contemplating a small side by side and this would do all the same stuff except be street legal at the same time.

That's exactly what I want. I plan on taking it thru the woods if it's too nice then you wont want to scratch it. Old Willys Jeep with a rattle can paint job and decent tires and I'm good to go

You might be surprised what that guy will let his go for, they don't go for crazy money. I got my '53 M38A1 for $6k fully restored.

really? that's pretty awesome do you have picture of it? I was looking at a few more examples and M38 flatfenders and most were selling for around 2k in non running seized motor rust bucket form.

I figured the one I like is twice as nice so it must be twice as much. Alberta does have a tendency to way over value used vehicles tho.

I in no way support the street racing but the truck it self is amazeballs. This guy WILL eventually get killed in this thing and the only tear I will have is for the poor wrecked truck who never did anything to deserve it .

Personally I don't consider builds that have no concern for safety amazeballs. All he did was shoehorn a giant motor into a lightweight vehicle. Fuck that guy, I really fucking hate him. He couldn't even be bothered to put in a fucking rollbar.
